Moving Around

You can move from one VZone locale to another as an avatar or a ghost. Use the buttons on the VZones client to navigate.
Move to the next locale behind the one you are currently in by clicking on the back button on your VZones client button bar.
Move to the next locale in front of the one you are currently in by clicking on the forward button on your VZones client button bar.
Move to the next locale to the left or right by clicking on the left or right button on the button bar.
To exit through a door or gate, click on it and a menu will appear. Select Pass Through.
Look for an exit paving stone in locales where moving forward is an option.
If a locale is not present, the directional buttons are greyed out. This example shows that you can go left and forward, but not right or back.

Communicating There are three ways to communicate in the VZones. You can talk publicly, express what you’re thinking, and communicate privately with one other avatar at a time.

Speech (public)

Chat publicly with one or more people by selecting the speech icon and typing your message in the white box. Press the return button on your keyboard to post your message.

Your message will be seen in a colored speech box with a pointer directed to your avatar.

Thought (public)

Publicly express what you’re thinking (try not to offend someone).

Your message will be seen in a colored speech box with thought bubbles directed to your avatar.

ESP (private)

Your message will be seen in a white box but only on your screen and the screen of the person you send the message to.

If the person you sent the message to is not currently in the VZone, you will be given the option to leave a message for when they return.

Ghosting and Deghosting You can be seen or choose to be an observer.

When you return to the VZones you always appear as a ghost. There can be any number of ghosts in one locale at any time, all displayed by one icon in the sky (in New Horizone, the ghost icon is an eye).

Note: When you enter crowded locales you may be forced to ghost because you have exceeded the allowed number of avatars in the locale. When you exit you can deghost.

To deghost, click the little man button on the button bar. When you are an avatar and want to ghost, just click the little man button again.

Rotating your Avatar Each avatar has four views, front, back, left and right sides.
Each time you click the turn left or right button, you rotate the avatar 90 degrees.

When you click the inverted U shaped button you rotate the avatar 180 degrees.

Note: You may see avatars with their backs to you. They are probably having a private ESP conversation.
