Our main network provider had unscheduled or as they advised us last minute scheduled work without notice.

We have issued all avatars with 200T via the ATM so you've not lost out on tokens while playing in the backup world.

TST will see a 24 hour vendo with free gift.

While downtime is unfortunate as each month goes by we are one step closer to having 100% uptime (our goal). With full access to the older WA and tokens being paid for the time in backup we hope that overall members were happy by being in the older version and still being able to play.

What steps have we taken to resolve this from happening again?

- We are already in the process of upgrading our network so it's load balanced and fail over between 2 providers. This is due to be complete and live in 4 weeks. This means in the result either one of the network connections powering VZones is offline the other will take over automatically without needing to enter the backup world.

- In the last 2 weeks we have added all instant failover network hardware which means in the event of any network hardware failure in the future we will not see any down time.

- We will be switching to the first stage of the new backup world in the next 2 days. This has automatic sync of new users and a new fun place to play in during maintenance windows. The new backup world release is the first stage so it's a very small area where you will start as a new avatar with limited options. As this is developed you'll enter a mini beautiful new world where everything is free and tokens are unlimited.

- We are 75% completed in having total failover for the VZones website & VZones login servers.

- Today we have installed remote reboot via 4G to all servers & network hardware.

- Today we have been given an updated SLA from our primary network provider & 48 hours notice on all future planned work.

- Backup Worlds require daily maintenance just like WorldsAway which we believe is the reason the world crashed when everyone first enetered because daily maintenance was not being done. During September we will automate this process so all worlds and daily maintenance is done automatically via the server at a fixed time.

6th September 9PM WA for 9 hours we will be doing major maintenance which will result in WA being offline.

We will be making a lot of hardware changes to our network to help make everything more reliable in the event of a future outage. We will also be installing two Sun V890 servers into the cabinets to prepare for server moves in the coming weeks.

During this time the network will come up for short periods a few times but will go back offline again and will not stay on fully until 6AM.

During this period you'll be able to play in the new backup world.

Is this for 9 hours or for 21 hours?

It says 9am till 6am but I'm guessing it means till 6pm as you also say 9 hours? Thank you if you can clarify.

I can confirm it's starting 9PM. Please note that WA will come up and down a few times during this time period so we are saying between 9PM 6th September and 6AM 7th September WA will be up/down.

We are in the process of putting servers servers in 3 server farms with VZones using older technology it's a very complex process. We have had issues today with BU2 where we will be operating from during the major changes on WA hardware/network today. We as a temp solution enabled BU3 which while is working and hopefully won't be used is in place but to be aware some users may find access slow.

In summary we have done everything we possibly can to keep some level of service up while we make major changes. Please bare with us while we do this needed work to help for the future.
