Sorry, you must create an avatar before logging in

What does this error mean? It's happened occasionally, but after two or three more tries, it let me in, let me pick which avatar I'm using. Now, 15 tries later, and I don't get to pick, I get that error message. I will put my food away and try again.

I got booted out at 11:46pm UK time and now I can't get back in.
i keep getting that same message even though I only have one avie at present.

Same here... only 1 avi & I cannot login.

This was caused by a technical issue out of control during the night and being resolved today.
