As I am not a woman in RL :P I wanted a name that was a drag queen name so as folks would not think I was a woman
(::) hence Madame Titzenass was created. Her character is based on Mrs Brown and Mrs Slocombe from UK tv comedy shows
I love MizzTizz ( as I call Her <3 ) TY for sharing Hunny ..

When I was a kid I was 100% tomboy. I was also jumping off things, climbing up ridiculously tall trees and swinging them like a pendulum and generally doing everything I could to not act like a 'silly girl'. Well, one day I was acting the part on a neighbors porch and fell over the side, into a stone driveway. I cut my head open pretty bad and was crying my eyes out. My father took me to the emergency room to get stitched up then took me out to a store and bought me a doll. A girly doll. Probably my 1st girly doll. Her name was PollyPal. 50+ years later, I still have that doll. My 1st avie was PollyPal. When I became staff, I started an alt - Polly. That's how my avies were born :)

Its kind of funny....My name is one that is meaningful to me, descriptive, and one I thought everyone would "decipher" immediately, yet almost no one has...

Va = Virginia, where I am from
Belle = a southern belle, feminine but with an attitude

And there you have it: VaBelle :)
The short versions of Vabs and a simple V are just for convenience, like RW nicknames

My first inworld name was gardner (in hallway beta). I do love flowers and gardening. After beta, I went with Tigerlily... it was June (1997) in Vermont and the tigerlilies were blooming alongside the roadsides -- and outside my windows.

When I became oracle staff in SC beta, friends shortened it to Tigs, which has stuck... and was used in Kaneva and other worlds I visited after WA. My alts name was Susannah and Simon was my cat avie. (Simon used to write for the iw newspapers. Talented Puss!)

And I had two roleplayer avies whose names I loved... but although it was years ago... (and many know) I am still reluctant to divulge their secrets.

When I first heard about WorldsAway on WRIF Radio in Detroit in 1998, I signed up without even thinking of a “screen name”. When I first logged in I was in a hurry to see the place and in a rush I just used “Big J” from the old joke about rolling “Big Joints” (it actually wasn’t a “joke” :P ), and it stuck.
I’ve used slight variations over the years like adding “Darksider” and dropping the “Big”, but “J” has always been at the core.
My rw name is Ted, so it has nothing to do with my real name. Some people over the years thought it was short for Jay.
