The Devil's Tower
Today is the 50th. anniversary of the release of the movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind. This is one of my all-time favorite movies. I had previously made a one room turf featuring the Devils Tower (the heart of the movie). So, I am going to open it up if anyone cares to see it. Visting times will be iffy . The turf name is The Devil’s Tower. All visitors on an off planet are welcome.

Turf Contest
Calling my turf done. Since I have shown nobody the turf, I am relying on myself and not my much-needed constructive advisor. This makes me nervous. lol

I too, am relying on myself, but feel I don’t trust my eyes fully. I am trying to relax and have fun. But I am nervous too!
Also, I am wondering how this thing works. Andy, can you give us more info? What exact day and time do the judges come, and do we have to be there, or should we leave an alt in our turf and give you the name of the turf? do you already know the name and will enter without us being there?

Ditto. :D) giggle 😀 I’m so nervous I keep going in mine and double checking if I need to add anything else, remove anything or just leave it. I’ve never been this nervous decorating before. THIS is my favorite thing to do in world. I’m not much of a game player, except hunts, bingo and decorating for friends.

Good questions. I too have never entered a deco contest and have no idea how this works. Guess we will all find out together. 😀

Turf Contest
Finished the turf on 4th., April 2026. Now in “tweaking mode” as never satisfied with what has been built. Semi-pleased at this stage. 🙂

There is nothing like posting a picture for all to see and realizing it’s awful. This was done a little differently has It would serve no purpose to use the same trees as before.

The trees are all wrong. This really needs cherry trees in full bloom. Then I could have had lighter foreground. I like the Memorial a lot. That is BYO window parts.
