This could have very easily been a support ticket directly to Andy.

I have rarely seen a host go over their time, maybe never even . And Majenta is right, this could have been a ticket to Andy personal issue imho

This is a strange post which could have been worded differently. You cant help if things go over the time limit, no-one is perfect and honestly it is just a game. I understand that it frustrates people when a game doesnt end on time, but there is nothing they can do about it. “ Time Management “ classes kinda seems like a rude thing to say.

Support tickets are always allowed, and you can certainly send one for a general complaint. Making a whole post like this about hosts within the host forum just seems rude and in bad taste.

You guys need to read the reason for this group. i.e. >> ” Additionally, this group provides a platform to share best practices, troubleshoot challenges, and suggest improvements to enhance the hosting experience.”

We have a couple hosts who do not manage time well & it does need to be addressed I would think. All I see in these remarks is putting down a person, instead of trying to help. Just my thoughts.

You’re always welcome to contact me directly at https://www.vzones.com/submit-ticket/

I’ve always assumed that most hosts start 5–10 minutes past the hour to allow for a changeover period. In fact, I think a short delayed start is a good thing, it gives people playing back to back games time for a quick break, to make a cup of tea, let the dog out, and so on. I only host paint club which does not matter if you arrive late and slingo which has a 10 minute delayed start so i’ve never noticed it an issue for me. I’m not sure if a delayed start would work on all games?

I was wondering, @Mikey, if it might be possible for your games to have a slightly delayed start as well. If it works well, other hosts may follow suit and players would then know they have a little gap.

@CosmicAndy i do start my games at 10 after the hour sometimes 15 after the hour but i do think its courteous to finish a game at least 5 minutes before the hour to allow a host time to start hoster and sort players out so forth. where as a few host are running up to the hour and sometimes into the next hour.
