Personally most of the regular bump host do 25 rounds!

Beannie is the only one who does 20 and she didn’t compete in competition!

Yep 20 rounds is just not enough 😛

Can you make it that each host can set it to competition bump or not ?

Not all hosts want to allways host for competition, now we had hosts that had the competition color added to their games but they didn’t post scores in the winners form.

And I concur 25 rounds is more usual to be played.

and also only top 10 players scoring points for the competition feels wrong to me .. everyone who plays should get scores added.

I will remove all my games then I host 4 hrs every morning that is not a fair rule 6 a day and no complaints till now ?

please clarify as I want to remove if this is the case

Ok just to clarify… because I am a host, in order to join the competition I have to host bump whether that is something I normally host or not…. nor want to host?

Ok does not make sense

those of us in Europe do not complain that many games are in the middle of the night for us

so I am right in thinking you do not want us to host in our times? we have to please the USA players ??

im gonna reply in support of the host. As a player (USA)

1. i get up at 3am (even before comp) to play Titzy’s games

2. i have to work during all other comp games

3. no comp games in my evening time plenty of other games tho

i enjoyed the comp. i couldnt play any other time and wished there was more games in evening but if host dont wnt to host its fine. but now some of us that get up and put in work are gonna be penalized because someone complain about what a host wants to host???

ii was worried at first the whole schedule would have been flooded with bump and thank god it wasnt!! so whats the big deal? 4 hours in early morning( for americans) barely anyone on. except europeans and us that cant sleep much.

maybe that made since.. i can be blunt if needed 🙂

is slingo also gonna be comp game?

OKay Andy this is where you should have made that clear before hand. we are all thinking only bump again. thats why we are upset about consecitive games.

Certain games are more popular at certain hours. There should not be a problem with a host putting any game on the schedule they want to host. As long as they get players! A person is free to play or host/play another game at that slot and there are 3 games per hour allowed. You are making it harder to get hosts… they don’t get points to begin with towards the competition and are not allowed to play/host at the same time, so if a host wants to compete they are penialized by not being able to play that hour, giving NON-host a game advantage…. so really what is the big deal. I say Host what you want as long as you get players….

So… if I host 10 games, I cannot play them 10 games, giving other players a 10 game advantage (SCORE)! How is this fair?

The Host instead of getting a prize for hosting… which we enjoy doing anyway… should be given some points so they can compete more fairly! This is a problem! Not the games… like Berk said you want to play get up early! You don’t like the game hosted, host one you like or sleep in!

People who do not want to play that game are free to host a game they want to play.

but by the first post in this thread is seems that it is JUST bump comp. Titzy only did 4 games in row cause of comp

maybe i should get into hosting to help out hosting comps in evenings to give host some playing time

I don’t and won’t host bump, but I do and will host Slingo during May. I plan on doing so for competitive games and I’m in eastern US time zone. I’ve just been watching the posts to see all the arguing. er… kinks worked out over something that should be friendly fun.

thanks Andy i got it now . i feel we felt gone after for our morning games, i think friendly competition is great. And i know us in the mornings were having fun even razzing each other a bit. thought i was gonna have to throw hands for titzy!! chalk it up to miscommunication and lack of sleep!!!

I personally host with 30 rounds of BUMP – this is really the best odds. I know Mikey does also. With the timer on, I still get done with a game in 35-40 Min – enough time to run & do other things before the next game.

I have people playing this morning asking why their 3 am scores were not posted and had no response from esp to the host

I would think that if any of us were hosting non comp games that we would tell players before the game that we were not participating

I am starting to host Competition games. I haven’t set anything up recurring on the Schedule yet. I add my games as needed. How do I get them to show up in the Time Slot drop down?

Adding competition games willy nilly is pretty bad sportsmanship many players read the schedule and those competitive arrange their RW time accordingly

It is pretty much below the belt tactics to sneak in sometimes with little notice Competition games when not many people know about it .Fair play other games to fill the empty spots

This needs to be controlled in order to make it fair for everyone not just a select few.

So what are the FINAL Updated Rules?

I have a question regarding the bump comp games….Is it a new rule that a host can host 3 comp games in a row? I’m getting so confused. and the schedule is making my head spin

@CosmicAndy Just a heads up on these games: I’m receiving a lot of information and complaints about the competition gaming. The most I’m hearing is there are members noticing ‘last minute games’ being added to the schedule for this competition. The complaint is that the games are posted and not announced. This has happened multiple times already. This leaves many out who were expecting no games that hour and taking a break. In doing so, certain others are able to raise their points quietly, which is unfair to all. The complaint is about 3 hosts, specifically that are doing this. Please check the scheduling program so you can see who is doing this as I won’t post the names here.

If we’re to continue this, a revised list of rules should be enforced, especially when the schedule of games is being changed so many times.

Ive been to every game, only missed 2 of titz games early am games. All games put on schedule have been spammed and/or shouted out!

So this is misinformation!!!

Due to some hosts still adding spur of the moment competition games I am removing all of my early morning bumps until rules are clarified.

It is totally unfair to add these games knowing that many people have already read the shedule at 10 am there were 2 bump games one at 3 and another at 5 people made arrangements to do rw stuff during these times

to add a 2 pm game is sneaky and underhand however I can understand it if your team mate has slipped down the table 😛

There are also hosts that games are displayed in the color that indicate that it is a competition game, and the host does not post the winners of the game.

I was monitoring my score, and that is how I determined that this is not done. I played a competition game, and winners were not posted.

So, how will that be addressed or corrected ?

What are the winning places and what are the place prizes?

Lets make something VERY CLEAR I do 3 things when i host a imprompt game 1 check for someone to do a world broadcast message! 2 i spam world 3. i do esp my regular players. so I try my best to keep things Fair. I dont not care about prizes I give away most of what i win anyway.
