Team Games / Leaderboards

This idea was originally suggested by @Mir during the town meeting and is something I’ve since been exploring further. I’m now looking for feedback.

The concept is to allow members to join gaming teams with a fixed number of players (for example, teams of four). These teams would compete over a defined period of time such as a single event, a weekend, a week, or a full month.

During the competition period, team members would play qualifying games (for example, Slingo). Performance would be tracked cumulatively at the team level. In the case of Slingo, the winning player from each team would have their points recorded by the host through a simple admin panel.

Over the course of the chosen period (e.g. one month), points and/or wins would accumulate. A live leaderboard would show team rankings and current positions in real time. At the end of the period, the top performing team would receive special prizes or rewards.

I’m looking for input on the following:

    Ideas
    Potential problems
Compatible games – Games that would work well with this team-based, cumulative format

ALT’s won’t be able to join a team so that’s not an issue.
