If it’s a no show and left on the schedule it’s okay to add your own game to that spot to cover it. If it’s during event you can use own prize if you have them and then request from the host who didnt show to send you the box. If you have issues getting it then post on the forums I am sure someone can loan you a box.
If it’s not during an event you can use your own box and you’ll get one to cover the slot at the month end as it will be part of your months total count.Basically we just don’t want Suzie to be dancing on hot coals and getting demands for prizes 4 minutes before a game starts.
The no show should come back in later and exclude the day they missed even after.

I am not aware of total confusion?
Because this event runs across so many days, we wanted to avoid overloading the world with unnecessary prizes. For that reason, the prize count for this particular event has been reduced from four to three. You’ll still receive vouchers as usual, so you can choose whether to give them out or keep them for yourself.

@Gemmy if you check the schedule for which days you’ve changed your games to the christmas event area. Then check that day against the prize request post and you can then see which days you’ve done it for.

There’s no easy solution here, as some people want to give all prizes to hosts while others strongly disagree. I’m very mindful of avoiding a situation like what happened with vouchers where prizes became meaningless because anyone who hosted a single game could obtain them all for free.
While no final decision has been made, XieToo raised a solid point: hosts can still participate in games during events when they’re not actively hosting, and they can also buy or trade prizes with other members or acquire them through the auction. If a host were running games for 24 hours straight, it would be a different story but outside of their hosting shifts, they have the same opportunities to win prizes as everyone else.
The idea of providing hosts with separate, host only, event themed items is a much stronger and more sustainable approach.
@Gia I’ve explained a few times that offering gold as compensation would quickly create a surplus that would harm VZones financial viability. This cannot happen if we want to protect the stability and longevity of VZones.
We are currently burning around 1200V per week. If we continue at this rate we would get to a point where host voucher rewards are valued more and less of a need for additional host rewards.

@Gia the meeting was okay to discuss this but you walked out before you had chance to read my reply.
The issue with allowing prize purchases is that it opens the system to potential abuse. While 99.9% of current members would never take advantage of it, it still creates an opportunity for exploitation especially by new members. It’s similar to someone hosting for just one hour a month yet gaining full access to the prize mart.
A while back, I suggested tying rewards to the number of games hosted, but that could cause some backlash from those who host less frequently. The best idea so far seems to be the host-only voucher option where a host can select one prize from an event, with no rollover of unused vouchers.
Personally, I like the idea of combining this with what XieToo suggested: allowing hosts to earn prizes the regular way, either by playing when they’re not hosting or through trades with members or shops. Since prizes are generally in surplus, they could also be obtained through IW trades especially if hosts had some exclusive host-only prizes to trade with.

We successfully completed a server rollover from one data centre to another and conducted a 20-hour stability test yesterday. Today, operations are running normally, and you can continue as usual.
Early next week, I’ll schedule stability testing for the next backup server, which will run for 24 hours.

I think prizes for vouchers via a vendo would cause a riot. The weekly vendos have in 2 weeks already taken out 4000 vouchers from the system so it gives you an idea on the volume available. Returning to gold supply on hosting would put VZones out of business within a month as we are reliant on gold and VIP to keep things growing. Either a different reward event themed and removed the vouchers could work or sending 1 event prize/dp for each game hosted could possibly work.

It’s currently still on the monthly meeting notes to be decided on.
Simply returning all voucher sets during an event and then getting a prize set would be one option.
