@CosmicAndy Just a heads up on these games: I’m receiving a lot of information and complaints about the competition gaming. The most I’m hearing is there are members noticing ‘last minute games’ being added to the schedule for this competition. The complaint is that the games are posted and not announced. This has happened multiple times already. This leaves many out who were expecting no games that hour and taking a break. In doing so, certain others are able to raise their points quietly, which is unfair to all. The complaint is about 3 hosts, specifically that are doing this. Please check the scheduling program so you can see who is doing this as I won’t post the names here.

If we’re to continue this, a revised list of rules should be enforced, especially when the schedule of games is being changed so many times.

Mikey, we can dupe the chairs for the game rooms for you to build with them. Andy is right. You’re going to have to build these yourself. We can tweek them as were setting up the imports, but overall, you’ll be building all this.

There’s also the idea that many members work mid-week so they might miss out on playing the games. So, in Mikey’s case here, he hosts 3 instead of 2 to give more chances to play. Mikey’s rw job requires weekends but he likes to be involved with games when he can. Why can’t we just give kudos to the hosts who care enough to provide the games?

As far as vouchers during events games, it’s always been my understanding that Special Prizes at Events are in leu of vouchers. So no, vouchers should never be used at Events Games. Any type currency (gold, tokens, vouchers) is not a Special Event Prize. Plus it wasn’t what the Event Coordinator chose for the prize. Kinda defeats the purpose of special prizes being made if we replace them with vouchers.

Xie, in response to the use of these locales for St Pats, we ran into a few snags that needed a Plan B. It was then agreed the day before the Event was to start, that we should use last year’s St. Pat’s Locales. They were newly built last year for the Staff Event and it made for a great Plan B. As Andy replied here yes, it is the Event Coordinators responsibility to create the locales. Sometimes things happen though that require a quick fix, and we’re lucky to have been able to offer these to the coordinator for approvals.
