@CosmicAndy Ok, Andy.. I’m finally back iw and sorted all of the boxes that were incorrectly sent. There are 13 folders with ten voucher sets in each and another folder with a duplicate host reward card (I got two) and one box of 10 cobalt vouchers. I didn’t receive any prizes. What I NEED is FOUR voucher sets and the vouchers for the photo I submitted. How do you want me to return these?

@CosmicAndy Sorry to make another post but I don’t see how to edit my last post! UPDATE: Those many prize boxes I received were named “Pawn Me After ’25” (which I thought was odd but there’s a LOT of ODD lately! 😂 ANYWAY, It dawned on me that these might have gotten to me in error because there was a pawn being held tonight? <completely forgot about that> I need you to bring a moving van to my turf when you have a chance!

@CosmicAndy Andy….. I have 98 prize sets. The boxes I received each had 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze, 3 cobalt (normal set) PLUS four prize sets. As I opened each of THOSE prize sets, there was another complete set PLUS four prize sets. This went on and on until I had completely opened all boxes. I need FOUR prize sets for May PLUS the 50 additional vouchers for the photo I submitted.

@CosmicAndy Andy I got my prize sets, and I’m guessing the bonus vouchers were to be added…. however, I got a TON of extra prize sets! I can give you a total count later but I thought it was going to be 50 singular vouchers.

@CosmicAndy So, on July 1st (Tuesday) when I host my regular Acro game, I’ll move to the festival area and (hopefully) will receive festival prizes (?). I’ll figure out if there are weekend times that I can host something different.

Anyone else feel dizzy from this? To cut to the chase, it seems to me that if someone has a regularly scheduled game on the weekend – they can still host it using “event/festival” prizes IF they move to a “festival” location. Is that right? Something that should be so easy isn’t always.
Also….. referrng to the paint club item being put in vendo. Isn’t the vendo only for VIP paint club people?

Well, that sucks that I wasn’t informed after being told that I could plan something and already started. I’m usually a positive person but I’m constantly feeling “don’t call us, we’ll call you” and “Who you know” seems to get you a pass. IW I keep a pretty low profile and yet the events I’ve hosted always seemed to be received well by members. Sorry to vent a bit Andy, but I’ve heard this from other people as well and I personally have been “put in my place” when I’ve tried to just donate my free time and found that it’s not wanted. I have been told I seemed to be “trying to boss people around” if I asked for help or had questions and that I should be like a “regular member”. It was hurtful and insulting to be treated like I had some ulterior motive. This just feels like an extension of that…………… so, I’ll be a “regular member” and go sit in a corner. Thanks for the reply.

So, @CosmicAndy can we use them towards an item in the prize market to be used as a special item? I usually provide a special item for the first 4-voted phrase in Acro but I could use these to purchase an item for that rather than just give the vouchers? That would be great if allowed.

*Yes, ANOTHER Update!* <shaking head and rolling eyes> So, first I was pleading for some extras and now *I* have some extras!!! I can’t win with myself ROFL @CosmicAndy what shall I do with the extras? … be nice, now. lol 🤣

Just another two cents… So this should be a fun weekend for all and instead it seems like a lot of people have been grumbling as Gia said. I had to limit how many bunnies to have available at the hunt times because I asked for the amount I would normally get and it was way less. My first helper was inundated by hunters and ran out of her allotted amount for the hour within 20 minutes. So, that was grumbling one. Then, people were grumbling about the general prize market while waiting for games to start… as a host, I’m sure this doesn’t help them trying to bring FUN to players when there’s been 15 minutes of frustration beforehand. There has been a LOT of grumbling that @CosmicAndy doesn’t really listen to the people that are paying for “their” world and the experiences they receive paying real world money and when for some this is their major form of entertainment and socialization with friends they’ve developed over the years. This seems to be a major disconnect between management and their customers. THEN if you were someone who didn’t spend your vouchers for months, you were able to buy the Easter Festival Vendo items …. otherwise you were SOL <sh*t outta luck>. Which brings us to the fact that this, while being a good effort, was NOT an event as members expected. There was no event page, which caused confusion. Beforehand, there was confusion for hosts about taking off their games and unfortunately this also left some hours with no games/fun at all. I get it, Andy, you’re trying to make some adjustments, changes, etc………… but honestly, right now, a LOT of people are going through a LOT of changes and adjustments in their real world so what they NEED is to come IW to escape from all that. They need a place that has consistency. They need a place that is focused on them having a good experience … bang for their buck so to speak and that encourages them to build a community where everyone is accepted and helped. You might say, “HEY, That doesn’t pay my bills!” But, there are people spending their limited funds on Vzones, can we try to do better for them? While I personally think it shows some positivity that you are trying to bring some new things, please don’t shake everyone up and not HEAR their voices. I have done events since I’ve returned… always have had positive response. It takes a lot of work, I espmail all hosts several times beforehand reminding them to sign up. I usually try to boost the “FUN” factor. I try to come up with different prize ideas… and usually, they’ve been older things just painted differently or used in a different way. I’ve come up with hunts. I even built a locale in a turf that was used to get the Moose at Springtime in the Rockies. I’m not saying all this to get a pat on the back……….. I’m just saying events take ORGANIZATION, ORGANIZATION, ORGANIZATION! Again, good effort, but not at all what customers/members expected. And, PLEASE, listen to your members. We have Suggestion boxes iw…………….. do they actually work? Will you hear what they are saying? Everyone wants to hang on but they seem to be saying they feel they are hanging by a thread. I think maybe Gia is suggesting that you post an “explanation” about the changes… good or bad. What I’ve found is people asking me <as a host> what’s going on. I’ve always felt people handle change better if they know what’s coming. From the average person’s perspective – they went into the prize market and not only were there less rooms/items but the pricing was a surprise. They had no clue what was happening and of course that leads to discussion amongst themselves and rumors rather than facts. Just maybe something to consider going forward?

I’m confused. The whole point was Andy said some people had too many vouchers and it was suggested to have some higher priced items in hopes that those people would get rid of their vouchers. I had suggested being able to buy gold if they had a bunch of vouchers so that they could purchase what they “really wanted” iw. Perhaps they play games but have no real interest in the items that are in the market. Andy didn’t seem to like that suggestion, but I don’t see the point of being able to buy vouchers if he was trying to get rid of the excess! I could see something like 40 Vouchers for 1 Gold as a temporary flash sale type thing.

Hmm… been thinking about this Andy. People “hoarding” vouchers might just mean they don’t have any interest in the items available. What if Gold could be purchased with vouchers so that they could buy anything they wanted iw that had a Gold price tag <heads, clothing, items in Variations window, etc> I wonder how that would be received/utilized if available for at least a trial period. PLUS…. that might encourage more players if they felt they could use their vouchers towards something that they really wanted. I know it would be of interest to me because I don’t buy a lot in the market.

I originally joined in ’96. When I left around 2012-ish I left a friend with all my stuff and when I returned I had no real hope of anything being there for me. I was staying a month. lol So, I understand there are people that are in a different stratosphere. I think I’m going to have to start a business iw <s> At least the cost of the <quest> eggs were affordable, not like rw!! lol

I’m with Rhi… I don’t know who these people are that have an over-abundance of vouchers and tokens. I feel that the whole system is out of whack – I’m not VIP so I don’t earn many tokens and I never have enough vouchers. I’ve noticed that there seems to be a number of people that have an enormous amount of tokens so that they can purchase items at Auctions, It’s definitely a “have or have not” tiered society inworld and I’m not sure that I’d like to encourage more of that. Someone who already has alot of vouchers can buy a specialty item and then eventually resell it for a lot of tokens, once again “have or have not”. Maybe…. offering something that cannot be sold for profit? Years ago there were too many items iw and people were encouraged to pawn… I believe there was a special prize for the person that had the highest total (like a mailbox in their turf or something?). It was something that stayed glued to their turf and couldn’t be resold at profit. Not sure I’m explaining this well, but hope it makes some sense.

I have assisted other hosts with the schedule and web pages as well. At the risk of being repetitive, having an inservice or meeting where people could get together ONCE and be able to ask questions seems to make more sense to me. Every time we had a new procedure at work we did that and that way everyone was on the same page <shrug>.

imho, hijack away… plus I have more questions. How often are the “festivals”? Is there a limit on how many special weekends there are per month? I agree with your comment about Easter. <sigh> Most people look forward to something REALLY special or it’s not worth coming iw to play games online. <going back to my corner>

I’d like to organize/host a costume contest, if that’s ok. Usually they require special prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place plus a “participation” item. I rounded up people to secretly judge the contests by way of a scoring system in three categories – Costume, Originality and Performance. There could be a contest on Saturday and Sunday, different times in order to make available for everyone to be able to participate. I could provide ideas and paint codes for the prizes. Let me know if this is something you’d like to see happen and I’ll get right on it.
