I had a few of the morning players raise concerns about last-minute games, and I advised that we would discuss it at the next members meeting to decide whether last minute Bump games should be played with or without points.

As team games are intended to be light hearted but still competitive, it’s understandable that people feel strongly about rules that may offer a competitive advantage or disadvantage. That’s why it’s important that any decision is discussed and agreed on by the community as a whole.

It’s also worth considering that Bump gaming involves a relatively small group of fewer than five competitive players, so we don’t want to introduce major permanent changes that could affect everyone without proper community discussion.

Also to confirm we do not and will not have any rules on games being announced via the broadcast system. This will never be a requirement as the majority of members do not like this. Until the day comes where members can opt/in and out of gaming notifications it will be ad hoc and limited. Members who want instant notifications can subscribe to the schedule https://www.vzones.com/games/ and depending which program they use it can be configured to email/sms/push notifications.

This is quite a complex problem and still not resolved so i would suggest @Mir only play with 1 avatar for now.

Thanks for the feedback. Last-minute substitutions have always been allowed, but changing how they apply in team games including whether points should still be awarded would need to be a community decision. I’ll add this topic to the agenda for the next meeting so we can put it to a vote.

@Tabitha you need to join a team with someone else and then you just play Bump as normal. You don’t need to do anything special.

Yeah if it’s Bump and the host does not want the scores to be listed they should let players know ideally on the schedule page in advance and at the start of the games so players can choose in advance if they are playing or not.

Builders have a choice what to do with the turf…please let me know

1) Copy the build into another turf of your choice. Let me know the name and location.

2) Same as #1 but also list the build available for other members to purchase. You will be paid 5G per sale. Builds will be available to purchase on the VZones website.

3) Take no action and the turf will be deleted in 30 days.

I think this happens if you set a game to cancelled rather than removing it from the schedule it then gets cleared out autmatically.

If a game can’t be made it needs to be taken off so the slot becomes free and then it shouldnt happen.

@troela i would suggest you unsubscribe from notifications on this thread and just enjoy playing bump as normal. Scores will be added and if you win you win. If you don’t you get may get a random prize or lucky DP one month. Think of it as just a bonus rather than something you need to manage and track.

It was set to 10 so it’s easier to track. If we set no limit it would be very easy for a host to add a random person on with points. With 10 we have some level of cross reference and tracking.
