Harlequin Games can’t have such a drastic change as it’s part of the WorldsAway history. but I would suggest doing this in Game Dome turfs where you can build anything you want and host from it. It would be really good to see new builds and short term/special builds used in game dome as it creates more interest for players.
My suggestion for a one off prize during games would be to puchase o.AbabydragonCR.img and use them as handouts during a game. Over 10,000 in world of o.AbabydragonCR.img so should be able to get a few from members/shops. Try Susie and her shops?

Morning @NH-Marshall-Bigg-Tom to follow up on this if you can’t get someone quickly to cover the game then it needs to be either removed from the schedule or the new option when you edit to make it as cancelled needs to be selected.

I can only see the thread by Mikey where everyone is requesting prizes and one from MG, i’ve replied to MG helping her out on how/where to request prizes. I’ve updated the event instructions at https://www.vzones.com/support/how-do-i-host-an-event/ so event managers can help guide people on using one post in the future.
If you see a fellow host who needs help next time please drop them a reply and guide them with your wisdom.

I like the idea and it sure will be a challenge to build it. Are you planning to do the build or have someone to help? are you thinking more SC style or NH being prom/school?

Yep understood correctly. I agree duplicate games in the same hour are not a good idea with the current volume of people playing. This post is really about trying to avoid a host owning a specific slot. It’s not a major issue on the volume currently but it was raised by Mir that if someone takes a break for any period and follows the rules by coming off the schedule then technically someone can take it.

Theme attached so the build would need to be either castle/brick style or the outdoor style ireland/pub style. If you need any pointers let me know.

@Emm I would think the only solution is something similar to what you suggested. We do have some risk of getting into a position where hosts “own” a slot.

I want to acknowledge that our current rules don’t fully solve the situation we’re dealing with right now.
At the moment, if a host can’t make their slot, the rule is that the game is removed from the schedule. That creates an issue in cases where a long-standing host, someone who has consistently run a specific time slot for a long period needs to take a short break. Under the current structure, once the game is removed, that slot is effectively open.
This puts us in a difficult position. On one hand, it’s not healthy to create a system where a host feels they can’t take a short break. On the other hand, if someone immediately takes over the exact same time, location, or game while that host is temporarily away, it may not technically break a rule, but it can undermine the spirit of good faith and community we’re trying to build.
We are actively trying to solve a real case right now, so this isn’t theoretical. It highlights a gap in how the rules handle short-term absences from long-standing hosts.
As a possible short-term solution, I’d like feedback on running an experiment during February and March:
- Allow hosts to run the same game in different locations during the same time slot.
- Hosts may not advertise inside another host’s slot during the same hour.
- Any broadcast messages during that hour must fairly include all games running in that slot.
Worst case, some games may see lower attendance. Best case, especially during peak hours, players have more options, hosts feel supported, and we reduce tension around temporary absences.
Open to feedback on whether this experiment makes sense or how it could be improved.

Yeah similar. If any hosts want to do weekly races with things different from a fuzzie then I can enable an area inside the fuzzie building for different race tracks that hosts can use.
If ducks were hosted weekly i can enable this up on the river area.
